Nothing like the birth of a new born to make one get nostalgic about life. to jolt you awake again from your mundane life and take note again. It is the time when new life enters the world and you tend to take stock of what has been and what is yet to come. Yip, you guessed it…. I have become a granny (again). My blood now runs through the veins of a tiny snip of life that was born a few days ago.
It hits you again how precious life is, how life moves forward no matter what happens in this world. Governments rise and fall, terror runs rife in some countries while peace reigns in others. Economies grow and fall, money is made and lost. Yet, all the while this is happening, new life is breathed into this world, daring to make itself heard and seen. This tiny snip could make all the difference to the world as she grows up. What she learns along the way will influence who she will become one day. Whether she becomes famous in some way or not, she will still impact our lives.
Her just being born was a precious miracle at that. God’s precious Gift to us. She fought her way into this world and here she will stay until her time is up. She has already made her mark in our lives.
New life that is breathed into this world every day, every passing minute a new baby is born. Ready to grow into the future, ready to change the world that we know. The cycle of life as we know it.
Birth and death, new and old, past and future.
